The "Cognitione" Foundation for the Dissemination of Knowledge and Science was created by its founder, Dr. Hab. Anna Ujwary-Gil in 2015. The Foundation is a legal entity certified by the National Court Register number: 587704, issued on 25 November 2015 by the District Court for Kraków-Śródmieście in Kraków, 11th Commercial Division of the National Court Register.

 

The main goals of the "Cognitione" Foundation are:

  • Scientific, research, and innovation activity based on conducting various research programs and the dissemination of knowledge and science in the field of social sciences, humanities, and IT.
  • The support and development of scientific and research potential, and the functioning of entities in the environment.
  • Promoting cooperation between science and business.

 

The Foundation pursues its statutory goals through:

  • organizing conferences and scientific seminars aimed at researchers and doctoral students. It is also allowed to organize events encompassing a wider group of recipients and specialists in various fields;
  • conducting scientific, research, educational, publishing, exhibition or training activities within the scope covered by statutory objectives, as well as directed at the development of innovation and entrepreneurship;
  • organizing and participating in scientific, educational, and other events in accordance with the statutory objectives of the Foundation;
  • editing and publishing the scientific journal: Journal of Entrepreneurship, Management and Innovation (JEMI) numbers: 2299-7326 (Online) 2299-7075 (Print);
  • participating or cooperating in undertakings consistent with the statutory objectives of the Foundation;
  • running scholarship and training programs for academics, scholars, youth, volunteers, and specialists in various fields.

The Governing Body

Dr. Hab. Anna Ujwary-Gil – President

 

Professor of the Institute of Economics, Polish Academy of Sciences. A Doctor of economics in the field of management from the Warsaw School of Economics and a Scholarship holder from the Foundation for the Development of the Education System in Norway. She is also the scientific editor of several monographs. The author of three books and many articles in knowledge management, intellectual capital, business models, and organizational network analysis. Since 2011, she has been the founder and editor-in-chief of the international scientific Journal of Entrepreneurship, Management and Innovation (JEMI). In 2010, her book entitled "Intellectual capital and the market value of the company" and published by CH & Beck in Warsaw, received a prestigious academic prize in the "Monographs" category awarded by the Polish Academy of Sciences. She was a project manager at the National Science Center SONATA and researcher (experience researcher) of the 7th Framework Program of the EU in the international project Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways Program (IAPP).

 

Dr. Bianka Godlewska-Dzioboń – Vice President

Assistant professor at the University of Economics in Krakow (UEK) in the Department of Public Policies, Faculty of Public Economy and Administration. Expert and trainer in research and implementation projects in the field of promoting academic entrepreneurship and competence development. Founder of the UEK Dialogue Laboratory, an initiative connecting the university community like students, research, and teaching staff with the business community and local government. Managing Director of the international scientific journal "Journal of Entrepreneurship, Management and Innovation (JEMI) and Expert of the Network Analysis Laboratory operating as a Think Tank at the Cognitione Foundation.
